ABSMaterials, Inc. was co-founded in 2009 by Paul L. Edmiston Ph. D. and Stephen Spoonamore to provide solutions to challenging water contamination issues. The company is known for its patented product, Osorb®, an absorbent nano-glass used to separate petroleum and organic chemical contaminants from water. Osorb technology has solved several persistent environmental contamination hazards affecting the health of private citizens. These include remediating carcinogenic plumes of trichloroethylene in ground water and cleaning oil-laden Gulf of Mexico waters following the Deepwater Horizon disaster.
