Mnemonics/UCF Wireless Surface Acoustic Wave Sensor System (SAW) team.
For over 25 years Mnemonics, Inc. has been a high technology supplier in the Aerospace and Defense, Medical and Industrial markets. The company was founded in 1979 and is US owned and operated. They are a certified small business and have been a Boeing supplier for over 20 years, having been awarded the certified bronze preferred supplier award for good service. The company continually strives to improve its systems, processes, and products while remaining price competitive and delivering on time. Mnemonics, Inc. and the University of Central Florida under a NASA STTR are developing a Wireless Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) Sensor System for use in extreme environments. The SAW Sensor system offers advantages over other methods of sensing environments in that it is wireless, passive environmentally tough, lightweight, and small with a thin foot print ideally suited for many sensing applications. The system consists of sensors (temperature, stress, vibration, and chemical) and an RF Interrogator. The sensors are small, lightweight, and can be integrated within various materials.
Mnemonics, inc. is participating in research programs with many partners, including but not limited to: NASA, The Florida Institute of Technology, The University of Florida, The University of Central Florida, Kennedy Space Center, and the United Space Alliance.
