NanoSonic’s SBIR Awards have led to multiple technical innovations. Since its founding in 1998, SBIR awards have accounted for approximately 60 percent of the firm's current revenue. Two awards led to R&D 100 awards. The company was named the Best Small Business in the state of Virginia in 2007. And it was cited in an independent study as a 13-state leader among small business involved in nanotechnology.
